The Shelswell Group of Parishes

The Shelswell Group of Parishes aims to bring people closer to God, and to show the love of Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit to everyone

The Shelswell group of parishes support the Bicester Foodbank and the Brackley Foodbank

As the economic crisis continues to bite, more people are finding that they are really struggling to make ends meet. We are doing what we can to help.

Thank you to those churches in the Benefice who donat to the Foodbanks and offer donation collection points in their church – Foodbanks are experiencing a period of unprecedented demand on their services, and the collections are very welcome.

Foodbank Donation Points

Can be found in the church porches in Cottisford, Finmere, Fringford, Hethe, Stoke Lyne and Stratton Audley.
If you can, please support these with your donations of tinned and dried goods, toiletries, and so on.
Urgently needed are tinned tomatoes, tinned fish, rice pudding, tinned meat, tinned fruit, and juice / squash. (They have plenty of cereal and pasta)

If you need to, you are very welcome to take whatever you need from the donation point, and any leftovers will be taken to the Bicester or Banbury foodbanks on a regular basis.
