We are a group of ten churches situated in the north east corner of Oxfordshire in the UK, a small rural patch between Bicester, Brackley and Buckingham. Many of our church buildings date back to the 12th century! The parishes are part of the Deanery of Bicester & Islip and the Dorchester Episcopal area of the Diocese of Oxford.
We are very fortunate in the Shelswell Benefice to be living in some lovely villages. As Christian communities within these villages, we seek to show God’s love to those amongst whom we live and to those we meet in our day to day lives.
We meet together to worship, and have a range of services with something to suit most people, young and old, somewhere in the patch!
We work to make a positive contribution to our villages – as well as holding events within the various villages, we offer some activities across the villages: a parent and toddler group, a holiday at home scheme for older people (Shelswell by the Sea), a children’s holiday club (Lighthouse), and much more!
Please contact me if you would like to know more about us or about anything we do!
